About us
BIOMIR Servis JSC, founded in 2000, is a modern science-oriented company
delivering unique innovative products designated for cutting edge medical aid,
including tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The company closely
collaborates with the Institute of Biomedical Research and Technology (ANO
IBRT) which includes the center for perspective research, testing facilities, the
technical committee for the biological evaluation of medical products, and several
laboratories accredited to conduct various trials.

The joint experience of leading experts of the Academician V.I. Shumakov Federal
Research Center of Transplantology and Artificial Organs, Ministry of Healthcare
of the Russian Federation, and the Institute of Biomedical Research and
Technology ANO, academic knowledge, high professionalism of executives and
staff of BIOMIR Servis JSC, their constant striving to perfect production and
technological processes, allowed to launch the industrial production of the new
generation of tissue-mimetic biological implants (biomimetics) - SPHERO®gel
and ElastoPOB® - as well as SPHERO®oko, a unique product for corneal
epithelial restoration.
The unique production technologies supported by monitoring of all technological
parameters in the ANO IBRT testing laboratory center ensures the continued
safety, consistent high quality, and effectiveness of the resulting medical products.
The accumulated experience of application of SPHERO®gel and ElastoPOB®
bioimplants was stored in practical medical manuals for healthcare professionals.
The medical products and their application are protected as intellectual property,
which is supported by 12 patents, 7 monographs, 2 doctoral and 3 candidate theses,
more than 100 printed publications in Russia and other countries, numerous
presentations at Russian and international conventions and conferences.
Our achievements
Heterogeneous implantable gel - SPHERO®gel -

is an innovative biomaterial of the class of bioactive extracellular matrix-mimetic hydrogels. The product is designed for volume restoration and replacement as well as for recovery of morphological and functional properties of damaged tissues.

SPHERO®gel is a multicomponent product consisting of natural compounds. It has a controlled bioresorption rate and complies with all the requirements applicable to implantable products and devices used in replacement and reconstructive surgery. Its composition almost completely mimics the composition of the extracellular matrix (ECM), thus providing ECM-like conditions for cell proliferation and differentiation as well as stimulating regeneration of damaged tissues. The product offers a wide variety of healthcare applications.
Implantable biopolymer membrane - ElastoPOB®

is a biodegradable nanocomposite material of poly(oxybutyrate oxyvalerate) polyether bacterial co-polymer (biopolymer). It has excellent biologically compatible and bio-stimulating properties. The product can be used:
  • in abdominal surgery – endoprosthesis of the anterior abdominal wall (reinforced implant);
  • in neurosurgery – to create optimum conditions for axon growth (a membrane to form a bed and retain SPHERO®gel within the operating field of the injured nerve);
in tissue and cell engineering of vital organs (liver, pancreas and thyroid, kidneys), central and peripheral nervous systems – as a biodegradable implantable carrier, temporary scaffold and medium for cells of different origin, including allogeneic fibroblast-like mesenchymal stem cells.
    Corneal epithelium protecting gel SPHERO®oko

    is designated for regeneration of chronic and recurrent corneal epithelium defects in application with therapeutic contact lenses. It enhances healing of the corneal surface.
    The protecting gel possesses wound-healing properties, since it belongs to a class of biopolymer hydrogels characterized by regenerative properties.
    The protecting gel helps:
  • Recurrent corneal erosions
  • reduce significantly the defect epithelization process time;
  • extend the remission duration;
  • prevent recurrence of chronic epithelial defects;
